Drunken Monkey Slugger Pleads Not Guilty; More Blog Buzz for DiMichele

Fasano and his attorney in court.
The man accused of fatally punching another man outside the Drunken Money in West Brighton pleaded not guilty at his arraignment today for manslaughter and other charges.

The bar was made famous based on its affiliation to Big Ang Raiola, one of the stars of the VH1 reality show "Mob Wives."

Stephen Fasano, 23, punched Abdou Cisse, 46, in the head, knocking him to the ground, and cracking his skull on June 8 outside the Drunken Monkey bar, said authorities.

Cisse was trying to calm down Fasano outside the bar, and Fasano responded by punching him twice in the face — not once, as initially reported by police.

Fasano was indicted on felony charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.

He's also accused of two misdemeanor counts of assault and one misdemeanor count of attempted assault.

Fasano was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter and misdemeanor assault.

Fasano remains free on $50,000 bond. His next court date is Sept. 9."

Also on the "Mob Wives" front, one blog is reporting, or rather, is asking: Could Alicia DiMichele be returning to Mob Wives?

Despite early reports that the fan favorite had left the VH1 show because of legal reasons, DiMichele didn't deny an appearance on the show.
When a fan tweeted DiMichele and said "@VH1 hasn't officially announced your departure... ... hopefully that means you're in S5 lol". DiMichele answered by saying "U are sooo cute" with a kissing face emoticon."
In April it was reported that DiMichele had left the hit series because of her legal case. Sources had told New York Daily News that she had submitted a letter of resignation, but DiMichele never confirmed the reports. "I can't talk about that," she said at the time.
"The word is that she trying to present a better image to the judge," a source told the paper. "She's trying to fix her image."
DiMichele was able to reach a plea deal, last week. The New York Post reported that DiMichele has come to a restitution deal with lawyers. DiMichele has agreed to pay $40,000 and is expected to plead guilty on August 14.
VH1 has not confirmed or denied DiMichele leaving the show and there were reports that they were trying to court her back because Mob Wives had gotten "boring" without her.

If DiMichele did appear on the show it won't be before Aug. 14 -- unless a certain Federal Judge gets wind of this possibility and moves to preclude it.

Last Tuesday, DiMichele, 40, told Judge Sandra Townes that she and her Colombo crime family soldier husband, Edward "The Tall Guy" Garofalo, had reached a deal with Teamsters Local 282 for the former mob wife to pay $40,000 in restitution.

She paid around half the fee on that day (or, her brother did for her), her lawyer noted, adding that DiMichele also wanted to reinstate her guilty plea, as well as be sentenced immediately.

Townes didn't go for it.
Townes said she preferred to wait until the agreement was signed. The judge scheduled DiMichele's sentencing for Aug. 14.

  1. I hope the judge throws the book at her.

  2. I think that's a foregone conclusion. The question is: how hard does Townes throw it...

  3. DiMichele is to hot to be put in jail. She committed a crime "unknowingly" but restitution would be fair

  4. I don't know about the unknowingly part... she was recorded on wiretap explaining how to extort, according to newspaper stories.

  5. According to the informant who brought them all down kenji gallo, she was at the trailor home office doing the billings knowing that she was a thief and got a sort of adrenaline high off of it. Also her brother anthony who was on the mob wives show hung out with teddy persiCo and eddie garafolo jr. He knew who they are, probably did some dirt with them as well.
