NY Daily News Still Surprised that Wiseguys Use Foul Language

We are amazed that the New York Daily News is still shocked--shocked!--by the way wiseguys talk.

From the NY Daily News: Anthony “Skinny” Santoro was caught on tape threatening revenge on people who had crossed him.

Obese Bonanno bad boy Anthony Santoro has a temper as big as his waistline, spewing a series of profanity- and threat-laced rants in which he violently threatened a “young punk” and a “Greek m---------er,” court papers reveal.

The tirade was all caught on wiretap, according to the court filings in Manhattan, and featured dialogue straight out of “Goodfellas.”

"You tell him ... that he's doing some s--t that’s affecting me personally," Santoro rages at alleged family associate Nicholas Bernhard, 52, who is also a Teamsters local president.

The pair were discussing an unidentified man with whom Santoro wanted to threaten.

“I'm gonna split his f---ing head with a hatchet, to be honest with you,” the 5-foot-11 and 300-pound Santoro tells union boss on the tape, according to the transcript.

"I'll put two holes in his f---ing forehead. I'll double tap his forehead right now!"

"Kid's a young punk," Bernhard remarked, fueling more acid rage from the man mobsters have nicknamed “Skinny.”
On tape, Santoro (left, with Anthony Urban and Vito Badamo) talked about a “young punk” with alleged mobster Nicholas Bernhard (far right), court papers show.

"He'll be one dead young punk. I'll leave him in the street right now. I'll shoot him right now, this minute. I'll take a shower and shave (and) just to go shoot him," Santoro fumed.

Later, he sounded off to Bernard about a "Greek m---------er" who was apparently in debt to them.

"I'm gonna take care of him because of you, but no other reason," Santoro said.

His tough guy act continued in another call with alleged accomplice Richard Sinde, 48, of Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

Santoro's filthy mouth would have been perfect dialogue for the classic mafia flick 'Goodfellas', starring Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Paul Sorvino and Joe Pesci.

Santoro told Sinde that a group of foes was "making jerk---s out of people. ... Someone's gonna get f---ing hurt."

Santoro, who is being held without bail, was part of a seven-member motley crew led by notorious boss Nicholas (Nicky Cigars) Santora, 71, that was busted in July for alleged extortion, loansharking, racketeering, and peddling Viagra and other drugs.

Nearly $46,000, marijuana, gambling records and seven weapons were recovered from Santoro's Staten Island house on Feb. 15, 2012.

The flabby Santoro did show a soft spot for a bet-taking gal he was friendly with.

"Hey, Carla. What are you doing, sweetie pie?" he said.

Whether abusive or loving,Santoro's excited jabber was just his theatrical personality, said his attorney Tim Parlatore.

"For all the dramatic speech, nobody ever got hurt," Parlatore said.
