“Junior” Gotti Stabbed Outside Syosset CVS

"Junior" Gotti reportedly was put on
the shelf by the Gambino family.
UPDATE
Former Gambino crime family boss John A. Gotti Jr. says he was stabbed in the stomach while trying to break up a fight outside a Long Island drugstore, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.

Gotti, the son of late “Dapper Don” John Gotti, told Syosset Hospital staff he took a knife to the gut on Sunday night while trying to stop two strangers from fighting in the parking lot of the CVS across from the Long Island Rail Road station in Syosset.

The mob scion then made his own way to the hospital, where staffers called police because of the nature of the wound, another source said.

But when cops arrived, Gotti refused to tell them what had happened, sources said.
“He wasn’t very cooperative,” one investigator said.

Nassau County police are investigating the stabbing of alleged former mob boss John A. “Junior” Gotti. The incident took place around 10 p.m. Sunday night in a CVS parking lot in Syosset. Gotti has since been questioned by police but has refused to cooperate with authorities.

Upon Gotti's arrival, the hospital followed its usual protocol by phoning in to authorities that one of their patients was administered to the emergency room with a stab wound. Once police arrived all Gotti told them was the location of his stabbing and the time it happened.

Gotti’s current location is unknown though. On Monday night nobody in the hospital was registered with the name John A. “Junior” Gotti.

Junior Gotti has insisted that he retired from organized crime after pleading guilty to racketeering in 1999 and serving five years in prison for it. After being released in 2005, Gotti was indicted four times for mob related charges between 2004 and 2009. Each indictment in those four years ended in a mistrial. Federal authorities gave up their chase of Gotti in January 2010 when the case’s court papers said the government decided not to proceed with their prosecution against him.

Gotti is the son of former Gambino crime family mob boss John Joseph Gotti Jr. The older Gotti died of cancer in a federal penitentiary 11-years-ago while serving a life sentence for murder and racketeering.

  1. This family just can't keep a low profile and fly under the radar. This kid got away with murder. If it wasn't for his mother and sister taking to the airwaves on TV he
probably would have been rotting in the can.

    1. Its interesting to speculate -- wonder what really happened,.. I mean who breaks up a knife fight? And whoever it was had to recognize him. Wonder if he bumped into a made guy who gave his regards. Lord knows Long Island is overloaded with them - especially Bonannos..

    2. I don't know, but this isn't the last we'll hear about this kid. He'll be in trouble again. You're right about Long Island, too.
