President Trump And Vice President Mike Pence Told Him To Shoot Gambino Boss Frank Cali

UPDATED
Anthony Comello reportedly confessed to shooting Frank Cali and is awaiting extradition back to New York.

Sources tell Cosa Nostra News that the man who killed the Gambino boss on Wednesday night had heard voices -- to the extent that he "asked" President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for permission to kill the Gambino acting boss.

Anthony Comello, 24, above, has been identified as the suspect who shot Frank Cali, 53, multiple times on the street outside his brick mansion on Todt Hill on Wednesday night.

Sources say Cali, the mob boss, thought Comello, who worked odd construction jobs for a living and was known to have a serious drug addiction and mental health issues, was trouble.

Cali didn’t think Comello was worthy of associating with a woman in his family, the sources added.

Sources also tell us that Comello was dating Frank Cali's niece, until he'd been told he wasn't allowed to any longer, by Cali himself.

As per the New York Times,Comello was taken into custody in Brick Township, N.J., on Saturday morning, according to multiple sources. After initially speaking with detectives on Saturday morning, Mr. Comello retained a lawyer and refused to give further statements.

He was being held in the Ocean County Jail at the request of the NYPD, according to a jail official. According to USA Today, Comello is in custody in New Jersey pending extradition to Staten Island. He faces murder charges.

“Was he acting alone?” Dermot F. Shea, the Police Department’s chief of detectives, said at a news conference on Saturday.

“Was he acting for other people? What was the motive? I simply, standing here in front of you, do not have all the answers.”

After initially speaking with detectives on Saturday morning, Comello retained a lawyer and refused to give further statements.

While the gruesome nature of the murder and the victim suggested it was a mob hit, Comello was not a mobster.

Comello was tracked down in part because of his pickup truck that was seen on surveillance footage near the murder. The truck had rammed into a vehicle outside Cali’s house, which lured the mobster outside the home.

Comello also reportedly left his fingerprints on a license plate he handed to Cali moments before the shooting; Comello had no criminal history but was in a database after he was fingerprinted for a rifle permit, Rolling Stone reported.

Police later found the damaged pickup truck outside Comello’s parents’ house. He was arrested "without incident" early Saturday morning at the family’s shore home in Brick, New Jersey.

Comello reportedly confessed to the Cali murder and is awaiting extradition back to New York.

“This went from the perfect crime to amateur hour,” a law enforcement source told the Post.

“Anthony Comello will go down in the record books as being one of the dumbest killers in New York City history, if not in the U.S. and the world. Not to mention that the victim was the head of the Gambino crime family.”

Investigators feared a mob war had been brewing, but now they believe a personal dispute was to blame for the shooting — over a woman in Cali’s family, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

At a press conference Saturday afternoon, Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea announced Comello’s arrest, but said such issues as motive and possible accomplices were still under investigation.

“Everything is on the table at this point,” he said. “The investigation continues.”

We've been in ongoing conversation with former Gambino capo Michael (Mikie Scars) DiLeonardo, who told us from the beginning that: "This seems like it was personal; it doesn't sound like a mob hit." He didn’t believe reports about Gene Gotti being involved either. (We did though.)

There's always two shooters per target when it's a mob hit, DiLeonardo told us. "Always two shooters."

In 1985, two shooters were  on Paul Castellano and two on Tommy Bilotti, Scars reminded us.

Is Comello's family in  danger, is the question. Cali has  family ties to the  Sicilian Mafia.....
