Bonannos Have "High-level Mole" in Their Midst

I understand there is frustration out there, as expressed in the comments -- but this is very sensitive material. One source is easily identifiable --- I need to disguise him better to throw you off his trail. (He also advised me I should have used "Mole" instead of "Rat" in the headline.)

I planned to pop this up yesterday -- the story was almost completed when I posted the headline. But the source had concerns and I need to discuss some things further with him.

All good things to those who wait... Those who know me know I'd never post a tidbit like this without following through...

You've all heard his name, folks, though you won't find it here...

He believes the Bonannos have a "high-level mole" among them on the street, and his reasons are pretty convincing.

"Well, someone won't shut the fuck up," he said.

Chill out. We wrote the story, click here....

  1. Is there a prize for guessing the source?

  2. Is this supposed to be breaking news? I am sure there is probably at least one rat in every one of the families. I hope they get whacked but rats are all over the place now.

  3. Hey Ed, do u know anything about a guy named tony Thomas gambino?? Supposedly he's lucky Luciano's grandson and recently said the mob killed JFK and Marilyn Monroe. Have u heard anything about him?? Until a few days ago I've never heard of him.

  4. Right lol I mean you could of made that call and just threw a dart and picked a family to claim it to.

  5. Good analogy, lol.

  6. Ed:
Why not wait until you have full story? Instead, you have a tidbit posted.

  7. That guy is full of shit. He was on some radio show some time back claim how 9/11 was orchestrated by the mob and u.s. government for the gold burried underneath it. He also claims the vatican and u.s. government are behind huge pedophile and drug rings. There is a recording of the interview on youtube. the guy is full of it

  8. weak traffic grab all i can think of. I mean really what good is the story with no identity etc, its a hollow log. Esp considering these days almost all families have a rat in some capacity in the middle of things almost constantly.

  10. I am aware of the situation, folks. I work during the day -- and this is very sensitive material.... My sources want to go over it with me. Please be patient. The problem is one source is very easily identifiable. He read the story and was concerned you'd be able to ID him, which is a valid concern. He also advised me I should've used "Mole" instead of "Rat" in the headline......

  11. All good Ed, I'm sure it's worth the wait

  12. Read the Bonanno books, one by Joe Bonanno and one by his son Bill, they go into detail about the JFK thing.

  13. I keep bugging Ed to do a story on lineage in the mob....I'm curious as to how many current goodfellas trace their mob ancestry to the black hand days. It seems like the bonnanos have the most intertwined lineage.... After all bonventre was bonnanos moms maiden name and that surname is still embedded in the bonnanos to this day. Also I always read that the fischettis in the outfit were cousins of Capone, same with nitti... But capones moms maiden name was neither of those two. Same with maggadino....even old man bonanno referred to him as his cousin but of course joes moms name was bonventre.

I'm also fascinated by what happened to the siblings of the old times mobsters.... Didn't Luciano have four or five sibs including at least one brother? Bart? And I read an article from 1999 or so about a nephew of galantes who stabbed some Greek kid.

Old school where are you? Do you share this facsination? Any input on this?

Btw I feel both books by bonnano and his son were self serving bullshit....fun to read but not to be taken as gospel. The last testament of lucky Luciano is fascinating but supposedly is false as well....

  14. So does frank ragano's book with selwyn raab.....ragano was Marcello's lawyer.... The problem is that a ton of mob books go into th joke thing but it's impossible to truly know what the truth is. Mafia kingfish is another book that goes into the marcello jfk angle...

    ReplyDelete
  15. The jfk thing not the joke thing.....damn I pad!

  16. Ah, dry up already...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah that guy is full of shit! I do believe that the mafia was behind JFK's assassination but Ragano acts like he was in good with LCN in one interview then acts like they threatened his life to be there lawyer in the next. Who knows?
