Rare Wiretap Audio of Whacked Gambino Boss Big Paul

We had been cruising YouTube when we came across this: audio of "Big Paul," obviously holding court.

I would assume these were the recordings made when the Feds wired Big Paul's "White House" on Todt Hill on Staten Island. The quality is not the greatest, but I have always wanted to hear Big Paul -- this is the first time I ever came across wiretap recordings with his voice on them.

Peter (Peter Pasta) Pellegrino, formerly of the Babylon, New York restaurant Peter’s Italian Restaurant, really is -- or was -- a gangster.


The once-promising Bonanno crime family member who appeared in Kitchen Nightmares now calls himself a brokester. And the Bonanno crime family, with which he was once affiliated has disowned him.

So has the rest of New York's Cosa Nostra, according to FBI documents and Peter Pasta himself.

But before all that he appeared on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares in which he acted very much like the mobster he allegedly was trying to become around the time of filming. (See Peter's Italian Restaurant menu here.)






Back then Peter Pasta was an up-and-coming Bonanno associate who "earned" $15 grand a week from bookmaking.

At the time, he also owned two boats that he'd park in a pricey nearby Babylon harbor called Great South Bay.

Larry "Champagne" Carrozza Hit Haunted Michael Franzese

Investigation Discovery's Nothing Personal, a six-part series profiling hit men, debuted in March 2011.

One of nine new series ID launched in 2011's first quarter, each one-hour episode was hosted by Steve Schirripa, who played the doomed Bobby Baccalieri on The Sopranos.


Nothing Personal was doomed as well, the short-lived series lasted two seasons.

The premiere episode spotlighted the 1983 murder of would-be Mafioso Larry "Champagne" Carrozza, who was shot by a Colombo crime family hit man/known charlatan. Or Michael Franzese, the ex-Colombo crime family capo who left the life, trading in the Godfather for the Christian God the father.

At least that's what federal agents and other law enforcement experts believed in April of 1992, when The Los Angeles Times noted that the Carrozza hit was "one case in which some experts believe that Franzese may have pulled the trigger."

Gang Land News Calls Him A One-Man Crime Wave But Gene Borrello Tells Cosa Nostra News He Worked For Bonanno Family

Residents of Howard Beach should take a chill pill -- and understand that they have nothing to fear because the wiseguys responsible for terrorizing that Queens neighborhood for years are both in jail.



Their names: alleged Bonanno capo Vinny Asaro, 84, who now spends his days at Springfield MCFP and isn't due out until May 21, 2022, and alleged acting Bonanno capo Ronnie Giallanzo, 49, who calls Butner Medium FCI home these days and is due out on May 21, 2029.

This, in effect, is what former Bonanno associate Gene Borrello wants to tell residents of Howard Beach, he recently told Cosa Nostra News.

"I took orders from Ronnie G and Vinny Asaro," Gene said, "I was a shooter for the Bonanno family."
