Mob Wives: Episode One of Season Two 'Supertrailer'
Get More: Mob Wives (Season 2)
Renee will be a major focus, as everyone knows the story of her rat ex-husband who put her father back in prison. And we see her ex, Junior, in the clip, and we also see Renee collapse on the floor in hysterical tears after a phone call during which she was informed that her father had been arrested after winning a rarely awarded home release program.
Renee also goes under the knife, but not during a fight to the death with another mob wife. She gets plastic surgery, and it seems we are treated to the filming of the operation, portions of which are in the above clip. Of course, Renee is later on pissed at anyone who didn't visit her in the hospital...
Karen's head, along with the rest of her, seems to have grown much larger. Her book is "nearing" completion and it looks like some publicity shots for the book's launch will make up the content of some episodes. Karen
seems to be going after everyone now -- especially since the new mob wife, Lefty Ruggiero's granddaughter, Ramona Rizzo, is in the show and seems to be in Karen's camp -- but for how long, who can say...
Carla and Drita, again, seem to be the most normal of the bunch, and in the promo clip, seem purely focused on self defense and protecting their kids, while continuing the process of removing their husbands from their lives. At the very least, they should thank their hubbies for getting them on the show and "earning" the large paychecks they undoubtedly are receiving.
My general impression, as regards season two? More of the same, only much more ... fighting, arguing, "I am great and will kill everyone else" harangues, crying, collapsing -- and no doubt lots of reconciliations.
THE OFFICIAL WORD, from the VHI site, on Mob Wives, Season Two:
The second season of "Mob Wives" picks up where the first left off -- with each cast member dealing with major personal life issues. The rift between Karen and Drita is far from over -- will they ever be able to 'bury the hatchet'? Renee goes under the knife for major plastic surgery that may have some unexpected consequences, while also contemplating her future with her ex-husband Junior. Drita is considering her options when it comes to leaving her husband Lee -- while Carla's relationship with her estranged husband Joe may take an unexpected twist. And, of course, everyone wants to know what's in Karen's soon-to-be-released book -- the one she moved back toNew York to write!
Last season, "Mob Wives" gave viewers an unfiltered look into the closed-door society of Renee, Karen, Carla and Drita, four struggling "allegedly" associated women who have to pick up the pieces and carry on while their husbands or fathers do time for Mob-related activities. United by a bond which few understand, the women are all struggling with their identities and their futures as they raise their kids as single parents in the New York City area.
