True Mob Wife Tina Franzese Dies at 77

Tina Franzese, wife of infamous Colombo mobster John "Sonny" Franzese, died on Easter Sunday. She was 77.

I knew Mrs. Franzese, had hours-long conversations with her when I did a story on Sonny.

Mob Wife Ex-Husband Hector Pagan In Brooklyn Halfway House With April 2021 Release Date

Back in 2014, despite the heartfelt pleas of a murdered man's daughter, Brooklyn Federal Judge John Gleeson sentenced Hector (Junior) Pagan to 11 years in prison —and offered a thoughtful comment. James Donovan was killed during a botched robbery in 2010. He said, “We can only hope” that by time Pagan is released “we have prepared him for re-entry into society to mitigate the risk” of what would happen if Pagan returned to a life of crime. How far Judge Gleeson's hope gets us is something we will discover very soon. The former Bonanno associate/Mob Wives bit player is getting out of the can in a few months..... A senior organized crime prosecutor once said that the Bonanno family’s idea of a meeting was to “sit around in a circle and shoot at each other.” While he was thinking of Bonanno family history circa the 1960s and 1970s, we couldn’t help but recall that quote—and the sentiment around it—when word of recent family unrest reached us. Believe it nor not, it involves Operation Southern Spear, the US military’s campaign in the Caribbean to annihilate drug-smuggling boats to stop a perceived flow of illegal drugs into this country from Venezuela. Members of the Bath Avenue Crew were as young as 8 years old when they began to align themselves with the biggest, baddest gang in America: Cosa Nostra, specifically the Five Families.
