Former Boss Holds No Grudge Against Mob Wives Daughters

TG Graziano

One cover story has collapsed, but another one may be in place. [Or perhaps speculating on the machinations of a reality TV show that blurs the line between La Cosa Nostra, a members'-only secret society built on stealing money, and the rest of the world is a fool's game.]

I just don't know -- but I do know that I dig immersing myself in this stuff and writing about it.

Patrick Parrotta, TG Graziano’s attorney, recently gave an interview outside the courthouse, insisting everything was fine between Graziano and his Mob Wives daughters, daughter Renee's comments on the show, which was filmed last year, notwithstanding.

While Renee stars in the show, it is the brainchild of sister Jennifer.

Parrotta stated, “[TG] does not hold what Hector did against his daughters.”

His lawyer further asserted that any animosity Graziano may have had about VH1′s hit show is in the past. “There’s no estrangement, everybody’s talking,” Parrotta said.

This post once read: "Renee Graziano’s dad Anthony is not speaking to her and her sister, producer Jenn Graziano, over Mob Wives." And I included a read article link. I now believe this is all propaganda.

Logic makes me wonder if perhaps the Grazianos only want "certain" people to believe there is a feud between father and daughters over the TV show. Just like countless politicians and corporate honchos always do, TG probably is just distancing himself from the show with a cover story. The irony is the Mob Wives do not offer anything about mob life -- no mobsters are mentioned, no facts unearthed. It's about a bunch of women who fight and argue too much, some of whom carry an overabundance of rage, some suffering from depression due to destroyed marriages and fear of the hammer of the law falling on a loved one. These are damaged women, and the show's success stems from its ability to exploit this in deft, subtle ways.
Ramona Rizzo, Karen's friend and second
most 'hated' Mob Wife. She is also grand-
daughter to "Lefty Guns," whom Al Pacino
portrayed in the Donnie Brasco film.

"Junior" Pagan is the reason why I had this change of heart. Pagan has been the primary male on Mob Wives throughout the show, and likely will remain so until the Feds yank him into hiding. He turned rat.

So if TG is not speaking to his daughters over the show Mob Wives, why the hell would he speak to Pagan?

He did -- there are surveillance photos. It was these conversations, which Pagan recorded, that put TG back in prison after he made it out by the skin of his teeth on a rarely given ruling that landed the Bonanno capo -- now consig, I believe -- in a halfway house, before, finally, home.

We present Drita, among the
most liked on the show, based
on our straw poll.
What happens to TG now, I have no idea. He is screwed -- and the man who screwed him was on Mob Wives. TG should've done what he pretended to do -- cut ties with everyone associated with the show. He may have spared himself the chance of dying behind bars.

My guess is Renee and Pagan, who seem to have agreed to remarry, will get all nice and cozy on the next episode. Maybe he moves back in, cooks dinner for her. My prediction is that by the end of episode three next Sunday Pagan will be gone -- Renee will learn her father was rearrested, and then that Junior had turned and was the reason why.

She falls on the floor, hysterical, in tears. We saw the clip already, and you can find it somewhere on this site.

I have a lot more pity for Renee, and like her a lot more than I did in the first season. I see her as a little girl, a lonely little girl who just wants a family and friends to love. She wants her daddy. I am not mocking her, if you think I am, go jump in the lake. But it seems odd. When did they film the park scene, with Renee and Junior getting back together... It almost seems like Jen knew what Pagan had done, and then built this plot thread to help create a story line for Renee.
These pics of Drita we are running especially for Karen Gravano.
It's not about Lee, or friendship, is it?

But, as we know, opinions are like a--holes. I chatted about this with a retired NYPD detective who worked organized crime for years and was deeply involved in the third Colombo war, dealing with the likes of "Wild Bill" Cutolo and Greg "Grim Reaper" Scarpa. He has also been "deputized" several times by the Feds, which gave him certain powers only FBI agents have, like pursuing suspects across state lines. He is familiar with Pagan and Graziano, not because he watched this show -- he doesn't -- but because he was part of the teams that arrested them over the years. As for my query about whether Jen and Renee knew he had flipped, and wrote it into the story, he disagreed.

"In my opinion Pagan getting back with Renee had nothing to do with it -- he was around TG one way or the other," the former detective said.

At the same time, I think Renee is a manipulator, and as much as I try to like her, I remember things like the fact that there is NO DOUBT that she set Drita up for confrontation with the bullies named Gravano and Rizzo. First, Renee doesn't invite Carla, because Carla didn't get on her knees and apply her lips to Renee's liposucked assed because Renee nearly died from ripped-open stitches, she claims.

I believe Renee set Drita up -- ironically Drita kept yelling at Renee, "You set me up! You set me up!" Think about it -- what did Renee do after the fight? She stuck to Drita like glue, apologizing, trying to minister to Drita's mental and physical wounds, yelling at everyone to get away from her and snapping at Gravano and Rizzo, telling them to get the hell out of the place.

Outside, the two ensconced in an SUV, the camera not allowed to capture the interior but the audio within loud and clear, Drita's accusations continued and Renee started swearing she didn't set Karen up. That, my friends, to me, anyway, is someone who is acting out of a sense of guilt. Or, perhaps she did a quick calculation and realized Drita was the one the audience would sympathize with more than they would with "Fatal Attraction" Gravano and "Lucifer" Rizzo, the clever and fitting nicknames pinned on Karen and Ramona.

I like Drita and Carla, who are fiercely independent women, "real" people -- it's pretty much, what you see is what you get with these two ladies -- and Drita is hot; Carla's not bad. I think jealousy also drives Karen's anger; Ramona, despite her horrible personality, is indeed a looker.

Sonny Black suffered for Lefty's
sins; sources say he met his
death like a man.
The newest cast member of the show -- Ramona Rizzo, the new Mob Wife who isn't married to a mobster. She is the granddaughter of the now-deceased "Lefty Two-Guns" Ruggiero, the lovable mobster who killed a lot of people and who Ramona says is the "love of her life, the person who made me learn my self worth" and, hey, Al Pacino played him in the Donnie Brasco film!

Joe Massino cleaned up the
family after the Joe Pistone
incident, handing the death
penalty down to two family
members.

Ironically it would be the threat
of death that would cause Joe to
flip decades late
Lefty was a street smart gangster well versed in the life yet so fucking stupid he let an FBI agent walk right in the front door of the Bonanno family's headquarters. Lefty survived this stunning mistake because then family boss Joe Massino lifted the contract on Lefty's life, an act that probably owes more to Massino's sense of humor than anything else.

Sonny Black Napolitano was not so lucky. He died hard, by the gun, his hands chopped off and his corpse left rotting in the swampy marshes outside Manhattan. Does anyone wonder if the Bonannos would be in better shape today had Sonny Black survived and become boss instead of Massino, which was a scenario Massino certainly was concerned about back in the '80s. Sonny was the only man who had a chance of taking the family from Rusty, after he had died, of course.

Anthony Mirra bought it too; he actually brought Donnie in before Lefty, but went to prison, so he was out of the picture for most of the Brasco era. He was such a lowlife scumbag, his murder is only a footnote to the Brasco story.

Ramona's flaw is that she is seemingly tied to Karen's waist and does not seem much aware of what's going on. It's like, "Karen, Karen, Karen, I agree 100% with everything you say or do."

She didn't make a very good impression after Drita bloodied her mouth; Ramona knew damn well who hit her, but she still screamed, "WHERE'S DEREK! I WANT HIM NOW!"

  3. Anonymous -- the thousands of people who read this story on an ongoing basis must give a sh--... The name of the site is Cosa Nostra News -- I cover all things related to traditional OC, and that includes films, TV shows and books. Mob Wives is a megahit, making a fortune for some people. It is news and I will write about it. Don't read it, if you don't like it, I don't know what else to tell you.

  4. How about writing a critical comment -- what don't you like about the show? Why shouldn't people watch it? Don't resort to four-letter words as shorthand if you can't construct a logical argument.

  5. How come you took off the link to that other Five Families blog under Mob Must reads?

  6. Anonymous... I put that link back... I don't know what happened to it. A while back I did remove some links to sites that hadn't posted anything in like a year or two; I may have deleted that one accidentally with those other ones.

I wonder if any of them link to my site...

  7. To those who doubted the veracity of this post you will note (or maybe not) that, just as the post says, Renee confirmed on the reunion that her father is not speaking to her over this show.

    1. Yeah she did, didn't she? So I'm wondering why would she lie about that if that's not true? That's kinda making me scratch my head. I can understand if he didn't speak to her because Karen Gravano is on there because of her father but because of the show?! SMH...that doesn't make sense to me.

    2. I think that since the father (TG Graziano)got arrested again, and since Junior turned informant, Renee and her family are going through very tough times -- and have dropped all signs of pretense now. Their father is a man of some years, and could be facing a long prison term (especially if a rat testifies against him.) I think in tough times, all families pull together, circle the wagons and focus on what is important and what is true. No time for B.S. when the it hits the fan, so to speak -- so they dropped the crap about him not talking to his daughters over the show -- and even if it were true, I'm sure it no longer applies. Those are his daughters, bottom line!
MizzCarter please post as much as you want! You and I are polar opposites regarding Karen, but you have a wonderful way about you and we may not agree about a TV show but that doesn't mean we can't be friends, right?!?!

  10. Here's the problem,as i see it,although making a mockery of your life and by extension the lives of countless others who've been raised in similar manner is deplorable in and of itself...Karen[FatRat]Gravano has resurfaced for her own sick need for attention, first and foremost.Along the way she reignites the pain suffered by those who were victimized by her lovable "dad",as well as adding new victims in her quest for relevance.Had she condemned her father's betrayal of the life he pusued without any moral restraint way back when in all likelihood she'd now be the recipient of favorable press as someone who possessed the wherewitall to pick up the pieces and move on from the damage daddy inflicted.Instead she embraced, and therefore condoned all he was and is about. It is that which makes her culpable and deserving of slander. She could have distanced herself, buried her head in the sand, full of shame and remorse. As daddy has shown, this is not the Gravano way. They have no shame, feel no embarassment. She puts up a sucker's holler about the lack of loyalty as the basis for her ongoing fued with her castmates,of whom she's had a problem with each and evey one.Yet she doesnt feel betrayed by her daddy, her hero, who when we thought was all said and done, set her and her brethren up in witness protection as drug dealers.CLASS ACTS,the lot of them. The only thing more pathetic is the masses who tune in and then weigh in on that wich they know not.Only in Amerika....

  14. Just a thought here on the Pagan/Renee theory you post here. Through the first season, they hint at Renee's undying love for Junior and his "womanizing" ways. Clearly when he was picked up at the end of last season is when he struck the deal to "rat" out Renee's dad. It is also the time that his love for Renee "blossomed" again. Could that blossoming love just be a cover to get close to her dad? I've never worn a wire, but I would assume you would want to do whatever you could to get as much info on your subject as you can. If that means a few rolls in the hay with your ex-wife to get close to dad again to do more work and get a chance to talk more often...

  18. Even before we became aware of Juniors treachery,he ceased to be a real man. With the advent of the show,he became a "reel"man. In the phenomena we know as reality tv,the line has never been more blurred. We accept scenario's and dialogue as a matter of fact, often losing sight of the premise that we are watching a SHOW.One with scripts and actors, producers and camera men/women.And editors. Its hard to decipher whats real, and whats reel. And even harder to critique, what with real life events finding there way into the drama.Debate becomes futile, something which is most probably the intended consequence.JUST MY OBSERVATION.Its not worth getting worked up or caught up in that which isnt really reel...

  25. Apparently you are not looking at the same pictures of Drita as I am... She's a hottie -- and a hot-tempered Albanian. I dated, or rather had an "affair" with an Albanian, whose husband was in the can. He met a mob associate inside, asked him to look after his wife when he (the friend) got out, as hubby was doing more time. The mob guy got out and stole her away... I was out of the picture by then, she had three little kids. I didn't want to break up the family so I split before the husband got out; meanwhile this Gambino associate stole her away from his partner inside the can. Every time I read about Albanians hitting ATM machines, I look for her husband's name ... that was his crew's deal. What a scumbag wannabe mafioso -- to steal you partners' family away while he's in the joint!

  29. I disagree with you on Karen. Me personally I have a liking to Karen but I can't stand that doggone Ramona though (lol). She is kinda like a raccoon, Drita's saying. LOL! I don't think that Karen is trying to make her father "look good" so to speak in her book. That's not what she said. The book is about HER growing up in that lifestyle and I don't in NO way think or believe she is trying to romance people into thinking what he did for a living was to be adored. Her conversation with her daughter, in revealing WHO her father was, let me know that she felt what he did was absolutely wrong. And even recalling her confrontation with Renee Graziano in Season One, when Renee tried to point out the fact that Karen's dad "ratting out" his partners in the mob was wrong and what he did destroyed the mob families, Karen asked her "What about the victim's families that were destroyed by what my father did?" I don't think she's a manipulator at all. I can understand where she's coming from on alot of things she has said but I will say I am disappointed in her this season. She's out for blood for some reason this season it seems and she really needs to chill out. Drita, on the other hand, I don't believe ANYTHING she says any more because on one hand she says "Oh we weren't friends, Karen" on the rooftop and then turns around and says "Oh we were friends, Karen" at Renee's party. I do think Drita is a liar, like most people, especially when you are trying to dignify a wrongdoing. And Drita didn't even read the damn chapter because SHE'S SO stuck on Lee D'Avanzo's nuts so bad that she thinks that Karen is too for some reason. Karen already told her, and the cameras, what the first chapter was about. Drita made that decision to get with a man that messed around with an "ex-friend". If it was me in Karen's shoes writing MY life story, I'm not gonna exclude the punk because YOU (Drita) are married to him now. That's your problem. Not mine.
Another thing you have to realize too about these that seem to glorify their mob family members, they are just that: their family. Even though they were doing the devil's work they still love them. I would be the same way. If my father was in that lifestyle, I would be disappointed BUT I would still respect him because he IS my father. Doesn't mean I have to like what he does but I would still love and respect my dad. I DEFINITELY wouldn't take a rap for him (lol). I would put SOME distance between us because I wouldn't want to be included in the crap but again I would still love and respect him.

But I like your blog! :) It's nice to see what other people are thinking out there. Enjoyed it :)

  30. You could also tell renee was full of it because A. violence drives the ratings up, and B. she kept going on and on of how those castmates of hers better not ruin her party.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think Karen is a walking contradiction. Carla, I dont know why shes on the show, besides to show her cleavage. Renee, I feel bad for her but she is so dramatic. I feel Drita only goes back and forth about not being Karens friend and being her friend, is only because at one point maybe she really did want to make things work between the two of them but you can only fight it so many times before you throw your hands in the air and tell them all the things they want to hear. So what, "Drita took Karens man" obviously they werent that good of friends. Karen leaves her daughter in Arizona along with her family to come to New York to prove to everyone that she will not be intimitated by anyone and is now full of balls wanting to write a book and claim some sort of power but family is everything to her. Drita lives her life with her husband now ex husband in jail deals with her problems as they come and moves on how do you not respect that, I have not seen her once go out of her way to start a conflict with any of the woman, Karen on the other hand wants empowerment. Karen feels she deserves respect, Drita earns it. Ramona is just a rich girl that gets others to do her dirty work for her, she talks alot but I dont really remember anything she says. My opinion.

    1. Of all the "Wives," Karen had the most obvious motive for being on the show: she wanted to promote her book. Moving here to be on the show, as she herself said on the phone with her fiance or husband or whoever he is out West, was a "business decision." The feud between Karen/Ramona and Drita has got to be hyped by the producers to an extent; remember drama is conflict and no one would watch if they all got along. I go back and forth with Renee; I feel for her one second, then another I think she is seriously mentally ill, needs to be in the hospital under supervision. Being the daughter of Mafia Royalty is probably not something most psyche's can handle. I know some relatives of Mafiosi; I don't think any of them are happier or better off for what their fathers/uncles chose to do with their life.

    2. One other note: Carla truly is a dead fish, no personality, i think she betrayed Drita who is the kind of friend who'd kill for you by going away with the other "Wives." I also think she is madly in love with her (ex?)hubby...her eyes simply glow and she can't wipe the grin off when he is with her -- and I am quite surprised that he is allowing himself to be filmed. Maybe he decided a career as a "second-tier celebrity" is a chance to make some dough. Beats running a boiler room....

  39. I like Karen. Wasn't she the first season favorite? OH well. I think it was wrong what Drita did to Karen. You don't date your best friend's man. I don't care if the girl was cheating or stopped speaking to you for a year. It's just the ethics of it all. Like, even if you stop being friends with a person, you don't go around telling their secretes. .........kinda like that. As for Drita, I don't think she the liar Karen's cousin makes her out to be. I think Drita is really upfront and straight forward............but not a good friend, at least not to Karen. Plus all that fighting turns me off. Not because I detest violence, it's just that no chick likes another chick who goes around bragging about beating people up all the time............it is threatening.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I like Renee and Big Ang too.........but who don't like Big Angie. I wanna see your faceless face LOL. Carla..........she has no soul. I don't think she likes Renee. Renee should just leave that chick alone. I think she thought it was funny when Drita knocked Karen and Renee over that night on the roof and don't let that bitch tell you any differently. She is a liar. As for Karen's "Cousin", she gets points for sticking by Karen's side........but the girl is trouble. I think Karen should feed her out of a long handle spoon.
Drita again...........I think she is simple......be cool with me, I am cool with you. Deep down I think she is good person. You just don't want to cross her bad side. I don't thin she is very cunning a manipulative. She just does what she does.....I just don't like that tough girl shit. Like I said, no woman likes another woman flexing all the time.

  41. Drita is the girl. I don't understand why Ramona gets credit from behar and others for being so 'tough'. The only thing she's ever done is run her mouth. She only talks crap when she has Karen around to back her. Karen and Ramona proved how weak they were going after Carla - who never bothers anyone. The boxing coach was dead on about Drita being strong (not for a girl, strong if she was a dude). Drita showed true strength when she was willing to talk things out with Karen and put it all behind them. Karen would show strength to put a muzzle on yapping Ramona, make peace, and get on with her life.

And my family is more innocent than you think. these rats ruin families and even though some people have been killed in the family "wars" to us these are just arguments. Very drastic arguments with huge consequences but America's stock market was built by the italian money and the mob you can ask any historian you know. Without the italian money we wouuldnt have the free enterprise and amount of wealth we have today.
