Massino Claims a Fed Tipped Him Off

Joe Massino, the former Bonanno boss who turned informant and is testifying against Vinny Basciano, claims a crooked FBI agent gave him a tip that he was going to be arrested in 1982, according to an AP report.

Massino told jurors at the Brooklyn murder trial on Thursday that the tip allowed him to "go on the lamb" in the Poconos and avoid prosecution for two years.

Back in 2014, despite the heartfelt pleas of a murdered man's daughter, Brooklyn Federal Judge John Gleeson sentenced Hector (Junior) Pagan to 11 years in prison —and offered a thoughtful comment. James Donovan was killed during a botched robbery in 2010.
